"...the cams will not be able to keep up and you will lose power." Please
explain this. I'm not disputing it, it just defies intuition. I can see
that it wouldn't GAIN you MUCH, but I can't imagine how it make you LOSE
power. Unlike other types of intake/exhaust mods, port/polish and head
cleanup almost CAN'T cause airflow stagnation at low RPM. All you are doing
is removing obstruction, straightening passages and giving the walls a mild
texture (intake) or polish (exhaust) to reduce turbulence and reduce the
chance of carbon adhesion. At MOST, you port match to your intake and
exhaust header/manifold, which I can't see any harm in. But maybe you know
different; please share. Agree about head shaving bit, though. Unless you
understand exactly what the consequences are, it's not a good idea. Pistons
are a bit more expensive than shaving, though :)

Thanks

Dave

porting the head wil not give you much unless you regrind your cams or buy
the JWT cams. The cams are meant to flow what the head is providing now.
If
you port it, the cams will not be able to keep up and you will lose power.
Porting and polishing with cams is the only way to go. JWT may have a head
package in the works, you hae to call them to find out when. If you are
serious about power, rebuild the bottom end of the motor with high
compression pistons instead of shaving the head. Although the shaving head
may increase the compression, it may hurt the head in the long run with hot
spots and may warp. You have to watch this head. Also, use the 95 SE20DE
TB. The TPS plugs in and no problems. You can use this on 91-93 sentras
with 1.6.
