Joe,
Sounds like you've got a bad balljoint. Too bad the balljoint is an
integral part of the control arm. You'll have replace the whole damn thing.
You may be able to get a junk yard part for cheaper. Some yards take these
parts off and have them ready to sell. Others have to be taken off at the
yard, which can be a bear if you don't have the right tools.
