Here is some advice. jack up the car and then try to turn the wheel side to
side. If you have severe play, then it could be the ball joint. In that
case you need to remove the control arm and have a new joint pressed in. I
can't imagine the bushings wearing out so bad as to make this thing wobble.
Maybe the sound is the CV joint. I know they make lots of noise when they go
dry without lube. Check for tears in the boots. If they are dry, its time
for new CV joints. Also, How many miles do you have on the car?
