Sounds pretty steep. Shops around here charge 10 bucks a site for pressing
out and pressing new back in. It's worth it though, to avoid all that
whanging with a hammer.

I read up on the SE-R web site on how it was done. I did find out the the
ball joints from a B-13 (year 94 if I remember right will fit a B14 year 97)
and ordered the parts from CarParts.com ( I had to order over the phone as
they didn't have the info on the web site) I think they were something like
$37.00 each or for both (both I think) and I had to take both lower controll
arms to a fame shop (not a machine shop) because they had the right
equipment
needed to press out the ball joints and at that time I had them also install
the Engery Susp. bushings also and I paid $55.00 per lower control arm to
have the machine work done. I also paid about $47.00 for the Engery Susp.
bushings that I ordered from Courtsey Nissan in Texas, so my costs broke
down
to something like $97.00 per site for the new ball joints, new E.S.
bushings,
labor for pressing in and out of ball joints/old/new bushings. Then I just
had
to reinstall the lower control arms.
