Definately. But, I don't think it is very fair to compare the WRX to the
Sentra. What is fair is to compare it the pricier Integra Type R, which is
in the same price range. The WRX has more power, AWD, and 4drs. I believe
what we are seeing now in the import industry is shift to practical
performance. Being practical is how the WRX is so nice. You can drag it,
drive it, race it, and rally it. Drive 3 friends around comfortably. Plus,
it already has a turbo, so upgrades are more cost effective. The Integra
Type R is a track car, and a very nice piece of engineering. But, it is
slowly becoming a relic. The insanely high rpm import motors are being
replaced with motors with more torque and slightly lower redlines. Even the
motor in the next Integra is growing to 2 liters. I've heard rumors that
the next Type R is going to have 230hp with nice torque. The SE-R will have
2.5 liters of displacement. From the factory, it will not be a high rpm
screamer, but it can be made to be that way.

In short, High RPM, low displacement motors that can scream to 7000 are
being replaced with Mid RPM, larger displacement motors that can be MODIFIED
to be screamers. I like where the market is going. SE-R, WRX, MP3, and
hopefully Lancer. All 4DRs. All sexy. All fun to drive stock, and accept
modification well.
