I don't doubt for a second that the SE-R is the best choise price wise. Its
a lot of performance for very very good value. It looks good and it has the
balls behind the look. The WRX, although not in the same category, is a car
of same relative size. In its own way, its a great deal also. If you can
pay mid 20s and have a car that will hang w/ a S4 stock, its a great value
for the deal. Comparing the SE-R to the RSX is about the same as comparing
the WRX to a S4. Both categories have the same area of performance and will
do what the other can up to a certain extent. If we're comparing the WRX
and the SE-R, might as well put the RSX against the S4. I just think that
if Nissan had an alternate choice of a 2.0L Turbo AWD car here in the U.S.,
I would buy the Nissan in a heart beat (Even a Pulsar GTi-R 4 door would be
nice!). I'm not knocking the SE-R because its not as capable as the WRX.
What I am saying though, is that the WRX just seems to be a better choice IF
you have the money to spend. The SE-R is a great package for a great price.
But once again, its all about choice and what the person thats actually
buying the car(s) preferes.
