In fact, the "Acrobat PDF writer" printer driver (a kind of pseudo-PS
driver) is the less resource-intensive (CPU, disk) way to generate PDFs,
instead of via PS. With real world documents, PS->PDF generation crashes
half of the times, even with fast 256-MB PII systems. This is probably
due not only to resource eating, but to bugs too...

The lesson: if someone wants to use servlets to produce PDFs, should not
trust PS, at least with win32 platforms.
