All we want to know is when will a version of VAJ be released that will
support JDK switching or at least a version which supports Java2.

Visual Age for Java V2.0 uses JDK 1.1.6
Since all SUN classes are stored in a repository (the same as your
projects), jdk switching will be impossible.
I don't even see the possibility to use another level of jdk.
