i !completely! understand. no need to clarify your intentions to
me. as to some of the "real world issues" you refer to that is
the precisely the issue i'm presently dealing and i tend to not
stomache "less then technical" roadblocks very well. i feel we're
really missing the boat on this one.

i took this opportunity to highlight some of the sun systems that
are running java (i'll make sure they get added to our growing
"servlets in the real world" list) as well as bcc'ing several of
the business contacts i interact with on this very topic. put
simply:

        java on the server rocks

        servlets make "webifying" your applications trivial

        jsp breathes life into static content

i'm very convinced that all things java on the server is a viable
strategy for any web-aware business activity. with michaela on
board to help "tell the story" i'm optimistic that we will start
to see a real repository of "what you can do" and "who is doing
it" regarding servlets/jsp.
