hi -

        this list is here to serve as a discussion point
        for servlet technology and the realm within which
        they play, that primarily being and http request
        and response. now, that well defined realm is actually
        quite pervassive and as such the discussion points are
        many and individuals interest in one thread to another
        may vary.

        i personally would like to see the topics on this
        list not be limited further then what is stated
        above. that said, if a specific thread starts to
        take on a life of its own and others on the list
        express concerns of it being off topic ... perhaps
        those who are interested in continuing the discussion
        can do so in private. i'd even encourage conclussions
        determined from such off-line topics be brought back
        to the list if it is viewed as providing value add.
