I think the problem needs to be analysed from a broader perspective.
You havent mentioned anything about the further servlet interaction i,e
isuues regarding EJB etc. That could enable me to suggest a more proper
solution.
Given the info you have provided, I dont thing redirecting the data from
doget() to dopost() is a great design issue. The approach where in two
differen servlets handle two distinct tasks is more technical one, you are
adhering to the modularity concept and thereby saving your sevlets from
getting overloaded. Moreover code maintainability is also enhanced.
