There's sort of a fundamental problem with FAQ-O-MATICs:
A good FAQ document is more than a collection of factoids.
A good FAQ document is more like a very short book in that
much of the effort goes into organization and summary, and
that takes a lot of editorial work. (Anybody who's written
software documentation knows the terrible secret: the more
effort that goes into editorial work, the easier it is to
use, and the less people appreciate the editorial work :-)
I think I'd rather see work going into an improved
regular-old-FAQ, but maybe I've just never seen a really
good F-O-M, so who knows...
