Using Windows 2000, and I suspect other versions would work, I used the
System Icon in Control Panel to set the Environment Variable "TOMCAT_HOME" =
the directory where Tomcat was installed (D:\tomcat).

As another suggestion - which I think I read during the installation of
Tomcat - was to copy servlet.jar to the /lib directory off your JDK
installation, which alleviates the necessity to include your Tomcat
directories in the CLASSPATH (I think).
