Sofia,

jsdk2.1 is the core Java package, e.g., the basic compiler, class libraries
and runtime environment.  jsdkee1.3 is the Enterprise Edition, namely the
J2EE extensions that enable development and testing of EJBs, etc.  Tomcat is
a container for JSP and servlets.  Yes, you need all three.
