How was your musical evolution from 1st Rec to the last one?
Classic 60's (Beatles, Doors) and cheesy radio friendly pseudo-
alternative stuff (Sisters Of Mercy, Mission, Guns 'n Roses), with
an extended obsessive stop in Seattle, to finally, a broader music
taste incorporating some jazz, blues, folk, blah-de-splab, but
mostly guitar driven American stuff (GVSB, Band Of Susans,
Grifters, Royal Trux, JSBX)
Did you have any period you're now ashamed of during this evolution?
Yes, the time when I walked around publically proclaiming Live and Stone
Temple Pilots to be brilliant bands <Shudder>. Luckily I came to
my sense befor Candlebox and Matchbox 20 came around.

Last international band: either Jesus & Mary Chain or Run DMC in
England in april of last year

Cornershop at Creamfields; crap band, even worse live

Any of the anual Oppikoppi music festivals

U2 at ellispark in SA, March 1998

Matthew van der Want at oppikoppi 1998 (Sort of south Africa's
version of Mark Eitzel)
Most crazy stuff you did or/and that happened to you during a gig and
when?
Being attacked from behind for no discernible reason, by a totally
drunk, incoherent women wearing a nightie in 5�C temperature at
Springbok Nude Girls gig, Oppikoppi Aug 1997
