Beats the hell out of me. The first decent album I got was Primus'
Sailing the Seas of Cheese. Prior to that it was stuff I bought in the
eighties which will go unnamed.

I bought Dirt Nap's "Below the Speed of Sound" and Smart Went Crazy's
"Con Art"

Sunday when I was in Boston seeing the Whigs.
> How was your musical evolution from 1st Rec to the last one?
I didn't really have any sort of musical evolution for awhile, then I
got into the Pumpkins and other alt rock stuff in 8th grade, moved onto
industrial in 9th grade (of which I only still listen to Killing Joke),
and got into indie type stuff with Girls Against Boys
the summer before 10th grade. Later that year I got into Hum, and
started checking out the champaign urbana scene. Since then I've moved
onto post rock, and back to more pop oriented stuff like Pavement.
> Did you have any period you're now ashamed of during this evolution?
I'm not really ashamed of anything other than the stuff I listened to in
the 80's. But I was a stupid kid and that's okay.

My parents dragged me off to a James Taylor concert once. There has
never been a truer use of the word "dragged" before.

Afghan Whigs and Firewater on Sunday in Boston

Either the Whigs gig cuz I really liked them as well as Firewater, or
Hum / Swerverdriver / Heroic Doses, because even though I didn't really
like the openers that much, Hum was amazing.

My first "real" show, candlebox / sponge / seaweed.

Hm.. don't know.
