Bruce,
I'll take the seat. Its not that I'm whining and I'm not shining either. I
just don't think the current situation benefits the project.

GovernanceBoard
Omgoodness.
Grover:
Yes, you did not claim interest in a board position. When someone said on
the board mailing-list, ::cough-cough::, that you had put in a request, in
the sake of responsiveness, myself, and I'm sure the others, voted you in. I
didn't want to say anything because whether or not you requested it - you
had not directly spoken against the idea.
So we don't mean to offend you, despite our wordings, in our invitation for
you to join the board in attempting to resolve the problems you have been
complaining about. The way I see it, you are either whining to see things
done, or shining to try and get them done. Either, honestly, is okay. If you
are apt to the latter, instead of the former, you are now in a position to
make things happen (or not). If you favor the former - we cannot help you.
There are simply not enough active people here, (perhaps yourself included),
to manage this project.
Your call for a full-blown (possibly) board replacing vote was worded in an
abrasive manner. Yes, we pointed out that it doesn't match previously
established standards. Yes, the board members are not perfect and have
broken our own guildlines a couple of times - but when everyone in the board
agrees on a course of action, the point is moot.
Oh, and there had already been some talks immediately before you "dropped
your bomb" - I'm sorry that you weren't in on that loop but we proceeded
forward positively regardless.
If you do not wish to accept our token of trust (and inherent
responsibility), that is okay. Obviously, if you are not in a position
dedicate small amount of time to helping coordinate the SharpOS efforts,
then that is how the cards lay.
