That's extremely subjective. Personally, I hate "more." I never use it. I always change my PAGER to /usr/bin/less after setting up a Solaris installation. Not being able to use my cursor keys to scroll up and down, having some of the output stolen by the more prompt, and not having working page up and page down keys is infuriating. This whole case is about having a *better* default that most users would appreciate. I think most users would appreciate less as a default. I would rather see the few problems that exist with less fixed than continue to be stuck with the horrible default of "more" or whatever it is we have now, which just plain stinks from a user experience standpoint. So, lets identify the specific *technical* not *subjective* issues with less, fix them, and change it to be the default, please. -- "Less is only more where more is no good." --Frank Lloyd Wright Shawn Walker, Software and Systems Analyst binarycrusader at gmail.com - http://binarycrusader.blogspot.com/
