Shoes is still in it's infancy, so while it has strengths it also has weaknesses and I don't think we're ready to out-IM any existing IM clients. I don't want our app to have shortcoming when folks are likely to compare us against the likes of pidgen, putty, and tortoise. Many of the other ideas I mentioned aren't currently very easy-to-find apps in the desktop world, especially not in any cross-platform since. Quite probably because writing desktop apps has been hardâ„¢ until shoes came around. That looks like a promising place to strike. Let's dig in to some fresh earth. :) - - Jesse
