Dave,
I am having trouble getting a grip on my wooden dowel. Got any advice?

Thanks

Hi, Dan!
No I didn't try any of those. Thought briefly about using an old shaft, but
that didn't seem any better than what I was doing, just more complicated.

The 5/8" dowel worked just fine; wasn't really any trouble to slip a .600
grip on. Probably a few wraps bigger than standard, but I don't see that as
a big problem.

Cheers!
DaveT
