Unless the shaft begins at 47", you won't be able to a 975D to a finished
47" since it is a bore-thru. Moreover if you tip it, you have an even
shorter club. With the head weight of the 975D, you might try a Penley Tour
Light 50" in X or XX. I have used this shaft in several applications and
have never been disappointed.
