I had an original Pro model and it was a fine puller but I like the new Commercial model more. There is more clearance between the head and screw puller suppport near the handle so I can tilt the head and heat the back of the hosel. Also the ability to do multiple tip sizes is helpful. Slippage on the new one seems much less but as was mentioned, changing the clamp tubing on the old one is not a big deal.

I've been using the Tflan homebrew shaft puller for the last couple years, and it has worked pretty well. The problem is that the vise I built it for is questionable, and access to the materials to rebuild it is no longer there for me. So, I'm in the market for a shaft puller. I'm trying to keep the price at a minimum, and Mitchell has their 2001 models on clearance. The pro model that was normally $169 are $119, and the original model that was normally $139 are now $89.
Anyone have any good or bad things to say about these. If I remember, these models seemed to have a problem with slippage.
Thanks,
Scott
