I've heard many good things about the original Balistik shaft. I was wondering how it compares to the Memphis 10 shaft. (I'm talking more specs rather than likes/dislikes.)

I haven't seen an answer to this yet, so let me share what little I know.

First off, this info is old. It refers to the Memphis 10 shaft of the mid-1990s. I don't know if the specs have changed since then; ordinarily I'd assume not -- but consider how this thread arose...

At the time, the Memphis 10 was widely reputed to be a relabeled TrueTemper Dynalite shaft. It was a "one flex fits all", with the flex just to the soft side of S-flex for the Dynalite. I know quite a few clubmakers of the time who replaced a broken Memphis 10 with a Dynalite trimmed between R and S (maybe closer to S), who report the club behaved the same.

Hope this helps.
