Golfsmith sells a tool designed for Ping shaft removal. Check the catalog either online or on paper. They also sell inserts. What do you mean ". . . and last head a standard .355 bore?" Do you mean "does the standard Ping shaft driver have a .335" tip? If so then yes, the standard shaft in a Ping IST driver has a .335" tip.

You'll also need a "hot rod" to shove into the shaft to melt the epoxy. You should be able to get the shaft out without damaging the insert or the clubhead. It takes time but it isn't especially difficult.

Also, you can make your own adaptor tool from PVC pipe and some cushioning material. Look at the pictures in the catalog for ideas.

Subject: ShopTalk: ping head

I need to pull and replace the shaft from a Ping IST driver.  It currently has a bimatrx shaft.  I have several questions.  Where can I purchase a tool to remove this head because of the insert I dont think my shaft puller will work without sorme sort of an adapter.  Were can I purchase inserts and last head a standard .355 bore?

Thanks in advance
