cemented inside the full length to thicken the wall.
Remove the grip (I blow it off and reuse if condition is good), slide
"tool" over the shaft from the butt, place club in your puller, apply
heat and push head off. Some people use a wet cloth between tool and crown of
the head, I don't, I let the end of the tool melt a little and deform. When it
gets too ugly I sand off the uglies on the belt sander. The Ping "hosel
insert " will remain on the shaft and can be removed and reused by
inserting a hot rod into the shaft tip, when epoxy bond to "hosel insert
" gives way the hosel insert is removed from the shaft. Clean all pieces
VERY well with a steel tube brush, beltsander, die grinder, whatever and
reassemble the club.
Material to make the "tool" will cost less than $2.
