I have an old face-balanced TaylorMade that has been
modified by adding about 5 oz. of lead powder down the shaft and then
corked. I noticed a remarkable difference in the feel and
performance after I did it about 10 years ago, and it's still in my
bag. I've played a few rounds with most of the big names in the
intervening years and, while some of them were good, nothing has convinced me to
get rid of my homebrew putter. However, the grass is always
greener.........so I will continue scouting.
