This is great stuff, I'.m game.......... where can I get it all.??

I mean, what things do I need exactly........ and where do I buy same?

For the PDA, try eBay.com. You'll want any of the original Handspring Visor series (Visor, Deluxe, etc. -- any model with the Springport bay in the back -- except for the Prism which is very hard to read in daylight). Alternatively, you can get a Palm V. Suitable Visors seem to be running about $30 at auction.

I'm partial to the Handsprings, mostly because I have a bucketful of Springboard expansion modules already -- modem, Ethernet, memory, camera, phone, and now GPS -- but there's no compelling reason to go that way if you aren't in the same situation. Either PDA will work fine.

For the GPS hardware, you can either get the SkyGolf unit with its self-contained golf application, or you can buy a generic Magellan Companion GPS (which, I believe, is the core upon which the SkyGolf GPS is built -- looks identical) from eBay or maybe buy.com. Both are out of production now. SkyGolf is apparently just clearing inventory. You may find the Magellan unit from a retailer with some leftover stock or you could pick up a used unit.

For generic navigation software, I recommend Cetus (download free from http://www.cetusgps.dk). Alternatively, Magellan gives away their NavComp software (also free from magellangps.com, buried somewhere in the Support section, IIRC).
