Dan,

In the spring when the grass has begun to grow and then greens smooth out, Bear Trace isn't too bad, but find out how the greens are before you play there. It's fairly wide open, for a Plateau course. Deer Creek is a relatively short course, but has some good holes and a lot of ups, downs and sideways. It's not always in such good shape, either, so ask about it before you go. I think River Run, over behind the Cumberland County Playhouse a mile or two is about the same kind of course and only $20 for seniors (or was last year). As Dan mentioned, Stonehenge is a very good course, but kind of pricey and always seems to be wet. They had some "stay and play" lodging and golf deals this past Fall which weren't too bad. Send an e-mail to Don Johnson for the latest on those courses...he lives in the middle of Fairfield Glade.

Subject: ShopTalk: Has anyone had anyone played Fairfield Glade?

My golf friends & I are considering a package from Fairfield Glade near  Crossville, Tennessee.  The courses we are considering are:

Bear Trace

 Deer Creek

Heatherhearst

Lake Tansi

Does anyone know anything about these courses?

Also as an engineer who likes to know how things truly work, I really enjoy the expertise & discussion of this group.

Thanks,
