I'll check out the leads you sent. I really hope one of them has the type dipping poly that GW used to sell. It set fast, and made a hard, durable finish. The thing that was really great about that poly was the application. You simply dipped the head in the product, stood the club on the butt and let the excess drip off. No runs, brush marks or imperfections. (Assuming the prep work was correct!).
