Thank you for asking these questions.  Here are my immediate thoughts on
them.

- I also feel concerned about the future of FSO and SHR, so I appreciate
  your raising this topic.  I wonder how big the pool of interested
  people is now?  Could it now be so small as to be unsustainable?  (I
  hope not!  We need an open smartphone platform now more than ever.)

- I agree with you that it would be nicer to have more a structured
  roadmap and release schedule, but the community cannot impose that on
  the developers.  Those who actually do the work must decide.

- My personal interest is for the GTA02 and forthcoming GTA04.  My first
  goal would be for FSO/SHR to reach "square one" of being a reliable
  smartphone platform, which for me just means reliable telephony, GPRS,
  GPS, Wifi and web browsing.  Once the platform is in place and
  reliable, I'd like to see us move onto "apps" - which in many cases
  means just simplified interfaces to existing websites.

- I am personally trying to finalize my commitments in other places so
  that I have more time to contribute.
