I fully agree, even though I am just a user and am amazed what you developers achieve. But certainly from my user experience with the main desktop distributions having a clear release cycle certainly makes your users looking forward to a certain date, when something new will have been achieved. So I would be very much in favour for defined release cycles. Speaking from my personal experience it is usually very disappointing if dates cannot be met (eg at some point there was some talk about shr-stable, which then eventually didn£t happen), so I think it is better to set the goals too low than too high. The other thing is please try to give us users a bit more guidance on how we can help to solve issues by testing or however we may help. something successful for both sides was the wifi issue with the new dbus connecting in january which could be sorted in a weekend.
