It would seem that manpower is the big problem.
Very true...
Unfortunately, I've been struggling for _months_ to get a stable,
working, build system for SHR...
I couldn't agree more. Many times I have decided to contribute. But it has
always
ended with me having problems with the build. When it dawns on me that I
have
spent more hours fiddling with the build system than looking at the code,
I get
discouraged.
If FSO/SHR is going to attract more developers, they should have
documentation
and resources that lets them be able to get productive early on. And then
I am
only talking about being able to change some code, build and deploy on
their
own phones to see that they in fact are in charge of their own phone.
For me it feels that the only ones who really have a open free phone is
those
who knows the ins and outs of the build and bitbake.
That said, I am still an unused resource. My phone and me is really
longing to
contribute to anything on the FSO/SHR projects although my experience so
far
only is with Edje, DBus and not so much the FSO framework.
