If in landscape (switched using xrandr) the keyboard takes up almost the
whole screen (in X and Y) so entering URL's in midori is almost
impossible as you cant see the field to select it.  I used omnewrotate
at one point but it wasnt very stable or usable - I'd rather rotate the
screen when "I" say so :)

very little more screen using full screen mode in midori - but not a
lot.

For the mic setting, then it looks like I'll have to make some test
calls to optimise and then reboot - thanks for the hint.
