I've done that half a dozen times now and don't have time to do it
again, since all of the images thus far have been broken and I still
couldn't do basic things like connect to WiFi reliably, PIM
synchronization, and so on.

I don't have time to poll the blog either. Is there an announcements
mailing list or an RSS feed for releases only?

For sure, hence why I was asking if there is some method of notifying
people when there is such a thing.

By synchronization, I'd like my contacts and perhaps calendar as well to
synchronize with Evolution. My Palm pilot from nearly a decade ago could
do that.
