Just take a shr-testing image and flash that. If that works for you don't update until a shr-stable is annouced on the blog (which is really not high volume). There is no maintainer for a shr-stable branch yet, so if someone is willing to step fine, that would be fine. Also the SHR developers have not deemed a version as stable/feature rich enough to actually call it stable. Calling works fine in the current shr-t. I can copy contacts from SIM to the sqlite on the flash card. Not sure, what you imply by PIM synchronization.
