Thank you very much; starting from d9dfd9, I now have a complete build,
and it even boots. (How cool is that, to boot a complete system that
one built oneself!)

For future reference, I just needed a couple of further changes: (1) was
a cherry-pick of this existing commit to fix an M4 build problem:

The build error was a link failure not finding S_ISDIR
which is a macro provided for the stat syscall..

(2) was more tricky, to work around the apparent rewriting of the glamo
branch at git://git.bitwiz.org.uk/libdrm.git:

Subject: [PATCH 2/2] Work around disappearance of
b5aec2bd3df736216e86eae28e278172d3ba3362
 from the repository at git://git.bitwiz.org.uk/libdrm.git

It appears that the glamo branch at git://git.bitwiz.org.uk/libdrm.git
has been rewritten in some way, such that after pulling the glamo
branch, there is no local commit with hash
b5aec2bd3df736216e86eae28e278172d3ba3362.

However,
http://git.bitwiz.org.uk/?p=libdrm.git;a=commit;h=b5aec2bd3df736216e86eae28e278172d3ba3362
works, which means that that commit is still present in the repository
(i.e. hasn't yet been GC'd), and
http://git.bitwiz.org.uk/?p=libdrm.git;a=snapshot;h=b5aec2bd3df736216e86eae28e278172d3ba3362;sf=tgz
gives a snapshot at that point. I've saved that snapshot as
recipes/dri/files/libdrm_2.4.18.1.tar.gz, written a
recipes/dri/libdrm_2.4.18.1.bb that references this, and deleted
recipes/dri/libdrm_git.bb.

I'm not attaching the patches here, because (1) can already be found in
the repository, and (2) is rather large. But if anyone specifically
wants them, just ask.

Regards,
        Neil
