Ok, I WAS on the wrong track (somehow) (sorry for bothering). So there
is already much "legacy" code written in speedpascal.
I would like to take a look at the sources to get an idea what is
possible with this.

Having this information, I agree with you. How much work (in man-month)
do you think are steps one and two?

I am, because having a RAD Tool on my primary development OS to target
other OS ist my motivation.

Yes, that would be very nice. Unfortunatly, I have very little knowledge
in WPS and SOM Programming, but maybe this is a nice "sample" project
for the new tool.
