I seriously doubt that much (if any) part of DirectX would work on anything
other than the Windows platform. You might try downloading some of the
samples from MSDN (msdn.microsoft.com). Perhaps once Microsoft releases
COM for various flavours of UNIX, it will be possible to use DirectX in a
multi-platform way.
