assuming you trust your guests, i'd use the 386 like an xterminal rather
than like a full-blooded machine.  run netscape from your server, display
on your "xterminal".  saves you needing to setup masq etc (altho that is
pitifully easy, following the HOWTOs), since it will be running from
the machine with the connection.  it will run much faster on something
with a mathco and >386 cpu  (i find a 486 is suitably fast, but then
i tend to love old hardware beyond what most people consider sane--i
still use a 68020-fueled unix box at times).
