Hi,
Founder of a petcare company here. We've had to pivot multiple times
in the past and even had a co-founder leaving due to family related
pressures. This year is definitely looking like a harsh one for
founders and this topic is probably becoming more relevant. While
everybody deals with (and needs to deal with) issues of the mind and
self in their own way, what has been a great support for me
personally, has been the practice of meditation and spiritual inquiry.
Over a period of time, it has really helped to separate out life on
the material plane, from what I consider the journey of the soul.
Having a close set of friends, not related to work, has also been very
helpful. Plus working on keeping the body healthy. Tough to say what
the future holds, but few principles like these have really helped in
staying fairly grounded through some difficult times.
Cheers,
Advaith
Hello friends,
My friend John Biggs, a co-founder of TechCrunch, former editor-in-chief
of Gizmodo, and so forth specializes in working with founders of tech
companies. He has written books on getting funding and related topics,
and he has a podcast called 'Keep Going,' in which he features guests
who talk about failures they've experienced in their careers. (Actually
I think he has a few podcasts. I can't keep track of that guy, he's
always doing something new.)
Would it be OK if I forwarded some of your emails to him? I expect that
he would find this topic fascinating and he might want to interview a
few of you for one of his shows.
Regards,
jrs
