Ummm ... I'm not sure if that's me or not, but FWIW, I generally drive to Coorg. It's about 5-6 hours from Blr. Right now there is a fair amount of road work going on in Coorg, so that'll slow you down a bit. Most of the buses to Coorg are of the Janata variety, though KSRTC occasionally has some better ones. Personally, I wouldn't travel by bus if I had a lot of potentially fragile luggage (cameras, for example). I'd suggest that you take a train to Mysore and hire a taxi there. -- b
