Could you venture a guess about how much the taxi might cost?
In Bangalore, an non-AC Indica would cost you about Rs6/km and and AC
one 6.50. IIRC, it's about 250-300km from Mysore to Madikeri, so
anything between Rs 3,000 to about Rs 3,250 plus Rs 150/- as a driver
bata. Mysore prices may vary. It may make sense to retain the car and
use it for transport within Coorg.
