I'm not sure that's the right interpretation of the Hindu fundamentalists'
psychology. They are undoubtedly insecure, but that doesn't mean that
(objectively) there is a reason to be insecure. In other words, they are
insecure, *despite* the fact that Hindus are dominant - not because Hindus
are marginalized.

It is, in a sense, a part of their identity, to feel assaulted and
victimized, whether or not there is a rational basis for the feeling.
That's true for fundamentalist groups of any stripe or religion.
