I take the train, not the car....er...MOST times, Kiran. We take the car when there are enough passengers (five). So yes, I do damage the environment more than I would if I took an eco-friendly bullock cart....but definitely less than taking a flight. Of course I do not presume to talk about those who have time pressures.

Take this: http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview?id=48121 "If the [Boeing 737-400] plane is 75% full, one passenger is carried 22.2 km for each liter of fuel burned (52.2 miles for each US gallon of fuel burned). This fuel efficiency exceeds that of almost all cars, when the driver is travelling alone." -- Kiran Jonnalagadda http://jace.seacrow.com/
