When things are going well, all the airlines are fine - one gets what
one paid for. In my opinion, what defines the quality of service of an
airline is how they deal with the times when things go wrong - fog in
DEL causing cancellations or massive delays at BOM or whatever - this
is where  Air Deccan's (and even IA's) service is pathetic. Their
airport staff just disappear, leaving it to others to deal with the
situation and irate passengers. Jet on the other hand, deals with
these situations in an exemplary fashion (call up passengers, rebook
them, lounge or hotel access etc.). I have no experience of Sahara or
Kingfisher in such a situation to comment.

Incidentally, for metro-metro, it seems Air India & Air India Express
have some irresistible fare offers. Their website is horrible, though.

PS: A passenger on an IA COK-DOH-BAH flight travelling to Doha, slept
off immediately after boarding the plane. When he woke up, he was back
in COK. The cabin crew didn't bother him at all :)
