Please sir, please sir, can I add Finnegan's Wake to the list? I
remember trying to work my way through that _expletive expurgated_
novel, assisted by the Golden Bough and motley other works, for about a
year before deciding I had enough. All because I wanted to read the bit
that went "three quarks for muster mark", and figure out what it meant,
if it meant anything.

Anyway, Shiv, I haven't understood the point of much of your recent
posts either. Which is not to say that I am saying they had no point,
just that my comprehension of the language is not up to the task. In
fact, I'm glad Udhay posted this, because like a character in the serial
Coupling says, "I thought for an awful moment that I had forgotten the
entire English language."

There, Finnegan's Wake, SSS and Coupling, all in one post. Beat that, Udhay.
