That sounds like the study I was searching for yesterday, but couldn't find. But my memory of what it said is different from yours (or maybe that was a different study; I don't know). What I think the study found is: if you ask a number of people to rate the attractiveness of a number of faces, a large number agree that the average faces are attractive, but individually, faces rated as being the MOST attractive were far away from the average. -- ams
