Ah but we have also lost the habit of wearing light, loose clothes that allow 
the circulation of air and promote heat loss as opposed to clothes that are 
sealed off at strategic points to suppress air-exchange and loss of heat. The 
worst offender is the tie - which is an admittedly smart looking warm-air 
sealant suitable for cold climes only.
