so can someone give me a rough idea of the lyrics of the song i've had
looping for hours now [1]?

1. Avial's "aadu pambe" - http://jp.youtube.com/watch?v=FKE5_6QDX6c

So I got the CD (in 1 day, an e-commerce record for me).

From the liner notes for this song:

<q>
The title of the song has been taken from a reference on 'Raising of Kundalini' through Yoga. Here, however, it simply means attaining higher knowledge - learning to live amicably with nature.

The forests have disappeared and time has come to a close for people who live there. The once nectar-filled beehives are dry and tribal women in their prime have been deflowered. Why do people fail to see the signs of desertification? For it is apparent in the fall of a mighty elephant or the wail of a deer. Look! The tusks are now part of someone's treasure and the lake-facing plot of land is home to the rich, as the tale is spun somewhat differently in the real world.

First impressions of the album:

I'm very impressed - with the musicianship as well as the fact that they sound like they have a coherent message in each of the songs. The production is very slick - but it tends to emphasize (in the CD version at least - compression artefacts mean that the sound in the youtube version is completely different in feel, even assuming it was the same mix that was used) the rock aspect of things, leaving the folksy bits and the electronica in the background.

Definitely a band to keep an eye on.
