Actually we elected them on the rebound after Deve Gowda's son - who did a reasonably good job of governance did something phenomenally stupid. I see two curious things happening 1) The non BJP parties in Karnataka are sitting dead quiet. Why? Are they sure that the BJP will take a beating? 2) The Rajasthan (Congress) CM's statement echoing Muthalik is a problem as is a similar statement by Laloo or was it Mulayam. One of the things that was pointed out to me by at least a couple of people about what gets the goat of Muthalik's supporters in Mangalore is not the change per se - but the rate at which society has changed to produce a new class of people who behave in a particular way.
